Fyvie Castle
Fyvie Castle is a castle located in the village of Fyvie, near Turriff in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It was built in the 13th century and has been held by several different families over the years, each of whom added a new tower to the castle. The oldest tower, the Preston Tower, dates from the 14th century, while the Seton tower, which serves as the entrance, was built in the 16th century. The Gordon Tower was added in the 18th century, and the Leith Tower in the 19th century. The castle contains a display of arms and armor and a collection of portraits, as well as a great wheel stair. It is said to be haunted by several ghosts, and there are several legends and curses associated with the castle. It has been featured in several television programs and a children’s novel.
