Winton Castle
Winton Castle is a historic building in East Lothian, Scotland. It was originally built in 1480 by the Seton family, who were granted the lands in East Lothian by King David I of Scotland. The castle was almost destroyed during the War of the Rough Wooing in 1544, but was restored in 1600 by the 1st Earl of Winton. It has been the residence of several prominent families over the years, and has undergone various renovations and improvements. Today, the castle is a private residence and an exclusive events venue.
